Making Spirits Bright: 2025 Home Decorating Contest

The City of Solomon is excited to once again invite residents to help make spirits bright this holiday season by participating in the 2025 Home Decorating Contest!

This festive tradition is part of Solomon’s Community Christmas celebration and is a fun way to showcase creativity, holiday cheer, and neighborhood pride throughout our community.

How to Participate

Participation is easy—and everyone is encouraged to join in!

Nominate your own home
Nominate a neighbor, friend, or family member
Nominations are open November 15 through December 16, 2025

Don’t hesitate to nominate yourself—this contest is all about celebrating the joy of the season and sharing it with the community.

More nominations are welcome, and the list will continue to grow as entries are received.

Judging & Community Voting

Judging and People’s Choice voting will take place on:

Saturday, December 20, 2025
6:00 – 8:00 PM | Solomon City Park

Homes must have their lights on by 6:00 PM to be considered.

The People’s Choice Award will be determined by the community. To vote, attendees are asked to bring a donation for Operation Gorilla, supporting local families in need this holiday season. Suggested donation items include canned goods, toiletries, paper products, laundry soap, baby supplies, and other daily essentials.

Each donated item counts as one ballot, making it easy to give back while celebrating the season.
