Tragic House Fire in Solomon: One Fatality Confirmed

7/1/2025

The City of Solomon is heartbroken by the tragic house fire that occurred early this morning in the 200 block of West 6th Street. Our thoughts are with the family affected and all those impacted by this devastating event.

We are incredibly grateful to the firefighters, deputies, and emergency personnel who responded swiftly and risked their own safety to assist those inside the home. Their courage and dedication to our community do not go unnoticed.

At this time, the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a joint investigation into the cause of the fire. We trust their efforts and ask for the public’s patience as more information becomes available.

We ask the community to keep the affected family and our first responders in your thoughts during this difficult time.
